The inaugural Rhakotis Prizes for excellence in the field of Greco-Roman Egypt and beyond has chosen to honour these five people. The panel felt that each winner excelled in exploring and examining in complex, creative and challenging ways exactly what it means to live in a world still inspired by the legacy of classicism.
